Love Joel McHale? Yep me too.

Here are some things about Joel that we love.

He saved The Soup from demise (prior to that the most popular host was Greg Kinnear, but we think Joel McHale is waaaay better).

He wears skinny ties. Well he wears them on The Soup. I have no idea if he wears them in real life!

Joel McHale is happily married with two sons. His wife Sarah is an ex interior designer. They live in California.

Joel wants to be a movie star. He is on the right track because he has a film The Informant coming out late 2009. He is also set to play the lead in a new comedy called Community on NBC (fingers crossed the whole series gets picked up).

Each week The Soup will show the best and funniest clips from TV that week. They have regular segments such a Reality Show Clip Time, Clip of the Week, Chat Stew and more.

It also regular features The Soup characters such as Mankini and Matt the Intern.

 Joel McHale to play lead character in NBC’s new comedy Community.  Joel McHale is set to play Jeff, a shady lawyer who has to go back to community college to get his law degree after his original degree is deemed invalid.  

It sounds like a funny show and also stars Chevy Chase who looks absolutely hilarious in his role as Peirce.  There are also a whole host of other characters that make this show ultra funny (well we hope anyway).

Joel has said that at this stage he has no plans to leave The Soup even though he would like to pursue more acting gigs in the future.  After all he has always said he moved to Hollywood to be a star.
