Online Advertising with Google Adwords
65Using Google Adwords
Google Adwords is one of the fastest ways to get traffic to your website. You can have a campaign up and running within around 10 minutes and be getting traffic almost immediately.
Many affiliate marketers use Adwords to make affiliate sales and if you are using it the right way (i.e. not spending too much on ad costs) you really can make a good profit this way.
To make Google Adwords profitable for you, whether you are promoting your own products, or as an affiliate, you need to know what your 'money' keywords are. Those keywords that will bring in sales and which your Adwords campaign should include.
Use specific keywords in your campaigns and don't use general keywords. It's always a good idea to only use exact match as well, as this will give you a tighter focus in your campaigns and produce better results.

Google Adwords Help
Obviously the way to make money using Google Adwords is to understand the process, choose the right keywords, write a good ad and optimize your campaign for peak performance. There are many great websites that offer Google Adwords help, but of course you can't go past Google's own website for the basics.
Testing your campaign is the best way to make it a success. Write two versions of every and after every 500 impressions, determine which Google Adwords ad is doing the best.
The first thing you should test is your keywords. Find out which ones are converting and get rid of the ones that don't. You can do this by placing tracking codes (available in the Adwords setup) on all of your keywords so you can see which ones are profitable.
Is Google Adwords the secret to creating instant website traffic?
Everyone is now saying that the secret for getting instant traffic to your website is to pay for it. So is it true? After all, the more people that visit your site, the more likely you will be of creating a sale. So the equation seems to be more traffic = more money.
I guess that's why Pay per Click (PPC) Advertising is so popular these days, and especially the biggie - Google Adwords.
I mean being able to have a campaign up and running in around 10 minutes is pretty cool. As soon as your campaign is live you should start to see a dramatic increase in the amount of traffic to your site.
I'm also a fan of free advertising - through search engines and writing articles as well, but there is no doubt that PPC will bring targetted traffic to your site very quickly. It's much quicker than waiting to be indexed in the search engines, and less of a chore than cranking out article after article.
Of course the downside is that it can be expensive to advertise if you don't know what you are doing.
If you don't have any skills writing ads then you won't get the traffic (or the sales) that you are after, but learning to write ads isn't that difficult and with Google Adwords you can set budgets of how much you are prepared to spend very easily. If you only want to spend $5.00 a day, that's fine. Or if you only want to spend 0.10 cents a click you can set this into your campaign too.
And of course you get to control the whole process and see what is working and what is not, so you can change or delete an ad immediately if it isn't working for you.
If you have been considering Google Adwords then it's worth giving it a shot. It could be just what you need to get instant website traffic to your site.
