Want Some Easy Weight Loss Ideas?

Here are some easy and quick ways to help you lose 15 pounds within around 30 days. Of course many of them are common sense (but you know what they say, most people don't make sense or apply common sense) but all of them are easy to follow and won't cost you a cent!

#1 Small Meals

You've heard it everywhere, in fact this is one of Oprah's favourite weight loss tips, that if you break your meals up into a small meal or snack every three to four hours, you'll increase your metabolism and lose weight faster than if you just had three meals per day.

So make a food plan and break up your meals over the course of the day. As an added bonus, you'll never go hungry!

#2 Be Accountable

If you cheat on your diet, you'll only be cheating on yourself so make yourself accountable by keeping a food diary. It has been proven that dieters that keep a food journal lose much more weight than those that don't.

Or perhaps you'd like to take this weight loss journey with a friend.  You can challenge each other to create tasty low fat treats and work out together.  You'll be socialising at the same time so it won't seem like a chore.

#3 Clean out the Pantry

This one is simple, if you don't have high fat, high sugar foods in your pantry, you can't eat them in moments of weakness. Stock your fridge full of healthy snacks and dump the unhealthy foods including the alcohol.

Stocking up on fruits and vegetables, lean meats and healthy fats like olive oil and avocado's will give you much more energy and you'll feel great. You'll have no choice but to eat well.

#4 Have a Drink First

Everytime you feel hungry have a glass of water first and wait 20 minutes. If you are still hungry after 20 minutes then go ahead and have something to eat. Very often though you'll find that you no longer feel hungry!

Try and stick with water and low calorie drinks however and avoid cordials and high sugar soda's which will only make you gain weight.

 #5 - Workout Smarter

Going for a leisurely stroll on the treadmill or a walk around the neighborhood might not be enough to really shift those last 15 pounds, so instead you need to work out smarter.

Most celebrity trainers say that they use interval training and high intensity cardio to shift the fat fast from their stars.

So challenge yourself to the 20/40 rule on the spin bike.  That's 20 seconds of high intensity riding followed by 40 seconds of recovery.  Do that over and over for a 20 minute workout on the stationery bike and those 15 pounds will be melting off.

I have my doughter´s graduation ceremony in three weeks. I don´t wnat to spend money on a new dress, I tried on the one I want to wear yesterday and...I can´t zip it up! So thanks for inspiring me and it will be smaller meals (probably South Beach) and 20/40 jogging for me!
